This activity-walk will take us around some of the buildings and urban networks which are fundamental to the acoustic history of Donostia-San Sebastián. Some of these places have their sound in the present, such as the streets in the old part of town, with their noise of leisure, or Koldo Mitxelena library, with its institutional silence. Others, however, have their sound in the past, such as Egia train station, or the Gran Casino on the Kontxa. They all have a similar story: the direct connection between economic power and the noises and rumours which flood our cities.
